-
- After a fair amount of research, I chose the Canon BJC over the HP for the
- following reasons:
-
- 1) To my eye the Canon produced superior color output
-
- 2) The canon has four separate ink carts (black, cyan, magenta, yellow)
- and can be replaced individually for about $8 each.
-
- 3) The HP's produce a lot more paper curl on high density print outs
- (partially due to the ink taking longer to "dry")
-
- 4) The Canon printer drivers available for the Amiga are far superior
- to those available for the HP's. The Canon drivers allow you
- to literally control every little feature the printer offers.
-
- 5) At the time I bought my Canon, the HP cost about $5-$10 more.
-
- 6) Oh, yea...the Canon printers also have a bunch of cool companion
- products, such as shirt iron-on's and such.
-
- The decision was easy for me. I don't really know anything about the
- Epson printers, but it would be hard pressed to beat this list.
